Use of warm water in RxCrush Pill Pouches

Temperature testing has been carried out in our company lab and found that water or liquids that are used to dissolve crushed medications be warmed up to boiling temperature and used safely in the pill crushing dissolving  process.  In fact warm liquids can reduce the time it takes to dissolve crushed medications and further reduces the likelihood of medications clogging enteral feeding equipment.

Pill pouches PP06, and PP08 were tested for containment of warm solutions during pill crushing.
