An RxCrush user has expressed concern about nurses crushing hazardous drugs on the floor outside of a hood or vented area even with the sealed RxCrush pouch. We would love your input on whether you are seeing similar resistance from nurses whether using the RxCrush pouch or not.

In How to Use
Pill pouches will hold 50 ml of liquid. From user input it seems 20 ml of liquid is optimal to achieve the quickest dissolution of medication.

In How to Use
Users are successfully crushing 5 to 8 pills at a time in the pouches. More pills will require more flushing cycles. Flushing the contents of the pouch is achieved by filling the syringe with liquid, injecting into the pouch, shaking and removing contents multiple times until all dissolved medication is captured.

In How to Use
We have found that large or hard pills are more difficult to get an initial crush. If you "nibble" at these pills, meaning that you crush a portion of the pill at a time, they break up much more easily under the crush block. The crushed pill is then ready to be pulverized by the roller.
